What Phones Work With the Jawbone UP2, UP3, UP4, and UP MOVE?
The UP range of fitness wearables by Jawbone come in different models to meet individual fitness requirements. While all models support the same UP App for iOS and Android, there are differences between the UP MOVE, UP4, UP3 and UP2 models.
Like most fitness trackers, the UP wearables generally track your activities, calories used and sleep with alarm and alert functions. When used with the Up App, you can access more exclusive features like food logging and the Smart Coach trainer solution.
The full-featured UP4 offers additional support for NFC payments, which is not available in the other models. The UP4 and UP3 both share a lot of similarities including the same advanced features like sensors to monitor heart health and sleep states. In comparison, the UP2 does not offer the advanced sleep and heart sensors, apart from the typical tracking features. Due to its compact size, the UP MOVE provides only the basic functions for tracking activities, calories and sleep.
When it comes to battery life, the UP2 can run up to 10 days while the UP3 and UP4 will need to be charged after 7 days. The UP MOVE on the other hand provides a 6-month rechargeable battery.
All four models are splash-proof and connect with most Android and iOS devices. According to Jawbone, they have not verified compatibility with every Android device due to hardware and manufacturer variability. However, we still list out the compatible devices here for reference-purposes.
The UP supported Android devices must be equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 and running Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) or later, which include the following:
Meanwhile iOS devices that can be used with the UP trackers include:
While the entire UP family is affordable and well equipped, Jawbone has positioned the UP4 in the premium category while offering the UP2 and UP MOVE for budget sensitive customers.
