Rounding Up 2016 Top Picks of Fitness Wearables from Best Buy

The wearables industry is taking advantage of rising fitness trends, launching dozens of fitness/sports bands in 2016. Whether you go for the full-range Android or Apple smart watch, or just settle on a simple fitness tracking device, it all comes down to individual needs.

Here are the latest wearable products that Best Buy is showing in the late Fall of 2016.

Fitbit

Fitbit combines fitness with style in its latest products like the new Charge 2. Sporting a large OLED screen with tap display, it also comes with interchangeable multi-colored accessory bands and standout features such as Pure Pulse Heart Rate, Multi-Sport Tracking & Connected GPS, Call, Text & Calendar Alert, Cardio Fitness Level and Guided Breathing Sessions.

Here are the Alta and Charge 2 models on display at Best Buy.

TomTom

We can see here various wearables models offered by TomTom - Runner, SPARK, SPARK MUSIC and SPARK CARDIO + MUSIC

Garmin

Here Garmin is showcasing its vivomove, vivofit, vivofit 2 and vivofit 3 among its wide range of fitness wearables.

Also seen here are the forerunner 15, forerunner 25, forerunner 230, forerunner 235 and forerunner 630 models.

Polar

In addition to the standard tracking features, the Polar brand of fitness trackers utilize its Polar Flow software to manage your fitness data.

Showcased here are the Polar Loop 2, M400 and A360 models.

Misfit

Misfit takes on elegance in the design of its fitness bands. It provides the Misfit app to control the fitness tracker from your smartphone which also wirelessly syncs your data. Misfit products are swim-proofed and covered in aircraft-grade anodized aluminum disc, with a white LED progress and time display.

Among its latest models are the Shine 2 and Ray, which are follow-ons to other Misfit products like the Flash, Shine, and Link.

Samsung

Samsung pushes boundaries with its newest wearables, crossing between a fitness tracker and a smartwatch. Previously Samsung wearables only worked best with Samsung phones but now they are made compatible with any Android smartphone running Android 4.3 or higher with minimum 1.5GB RAM. Samsung fitness trackers enable activity mapping with built-in GPS, among other standard features.

Samsung showed off its new Gear S2 and Gear Fit2 models below.

The Gear Fit2 is one of Samsung's breakthrough models which is equipped with Bluetooth version 4.2 and 802.11b/g/n WiFi while running on the Tizen OS. Available in blue, black and pink, this fitness band boasts a 3.86 cm (1.5") Touch Curved Super AMOLED display and also packs in 512 MB RAM and 4GB storage capacity. It features sensors like the HR Accelerometer, Gyro and Barometer to auto-track your workouts. The Gear Fit2 comes with a 200mAh battery.

Android Wear

The Android Wear smartwatches offer the always-on display feature where important info such as time, calls and notifications are always displayed. It lets you connect with your phone and respond to messages from the watch. The models to look out for are the Sony SmartWatch 3, Asus ZenWatch 2LG Watch UrbaneMoto 360 Sport, Huawei WatchFossil Q FounderTag Heuer Connected and Nixon The Mission.
