USB Type-C Displays for the Apple MacBook Pro (Late 2016)

Apple released the LG UltraFine 4K Display and LG UltraFine 5K Display as the successor to its Thunderbolt Display but there are other USB Type-C based displays that should work with the MacBook Pro (Late 2016).

If you want to stay with LG, the LG 27 inch Class Ultra HD IPS 4K 27UD88-W Monitor (click here for pricing on Amazon) was the world's first 4K USB Type-C monitor.

Here are some other USB Type-C Displays out there.

The Lenovo ThinkVision X1 Wide 27” Wide UHD IPS Monitor (click here for pricing on Amazon) is a desktop based USB Type-C display that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode and a 4K (3840x2160) resolution.

The Acer H277HU kmipuz 27-Inch IPS WQHD 2560 x 1440 Display (click here for pricing on Amazon) is another desktop based USB Type-C display that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode but a lower (2560x1440) resolution.

If you want portability, the ASUS MB169B+ 15.6" Full HD 1920x1080 IPS USB Portable Monitor (click here for pricing on Amazon) is a unique mobile display that supports a (1920x1080) resolution and only has a USB Type-C port supporting DisplayPort Alternate Mode for a video interface.

Of course, if you don't have access to any of these displays you can always use the USB-C VGA Multiport Adapter (Click here for pricing on Amazon) or the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter (click here for pricing on Amazon) to connect to any VGA or HDMI monitor.
