Monster HDMI Essentials Cable (1.8m) Uses Triple Layer Shielding and Gold Plated Connectors for Better 4K Video Quality

The HDMI Essentials Cable (1.8m) sold by Monster offers a 6 ft HDMI cable and advertises that it can support 4K Ultra HD (4K@60Hz), HDR, 18 Gb/s and Ethernet on its packaging. 

The Monster HDMI Essentials Cable (1.8m) comes with gold plated connector design and triple layer shielding which it claims to enable high quality and secure signal transmission when connected to devices.

Using the GRL DI20 cable tester to test the insertion loss through the Monster HDMI Essentials Cable (1.8m), we can see the cable has about the same overall signal integrity performance when compared to the Philips 6ft High Speed HDMI Cable where they are both the same length. The Monster HDMI Essentials Cable (1.8m) despite being the more expensive cable also has higher loss under 10 GHz compared to the cheaper Philips 6ft High Speed HDMI Cable (see review here).
