Why only play your favorite music on your phone when you can actually stream music from your phone to the ample speakers in the Google Home?

The Google Home supports Chromecast Audio wireless audio streaming that allows you to play audio from certain Android phones like the Huawei P10 onto the Google Home. 

First we set up the Google Home on the Huawei P10 by installing the Google Home App from Google Play.

  

After we opened up the Google Home App, we accepted the Terms & Conditions and Location Permissions.

  

The Google Home App then started to look for devices it can connect to like the Google Home.

 

Note that while the Huawei P10 was temporarily connected to the Google Home's Wi-Fi router during this setup process, it will lose Internet connection over Wi-Fi.

  

Once the Huawei P10 has established connection with the Google Home, we had to then play a test sound and choose the room the Google Home  was going to be in.  

   

We then set up the Google Home with a local Wi-Fi network. The Google App automatically used the password that the Huawei P10 has already recorded for this Wi-Fi network so you don't need to manually input it again.

  

After the setup was completed, we went to the Listen section of the Google Home App to install the Google Play Music App.

   

  

Once installed, we opened up the Google Play Music App and clicked the Cast button on the upper right of the App browser. We could see our Google Home device being detected as 'Living room Home' as the cast destination. We then selected a song to Chromecast to the Google Home. 

However we got a notification saying it wasn't able to play the song that we have selected. Instead we would need to upload the song to Play Music from a computer in order to play it.

  

We then tried rebooting the Google Home and selecting another song to Chromecast to the Google Home. This time we were able to complete the casting process successfully without having the warning of the song not being able to be played. We could then continue to select and Chromecast other music on the Huawei P10 to the Google Home with no issues.
