Tronsmart Presto- Massive Power Bank for Qualcomm Quick Charge Phones

With so many phones supporting USB Type-C connector, it's no wonder that Value in Action Technology, the company behind the Tronsmart family of products, has introduced the Tronsmart Presto 12000mA/h External Battery Charger.  The Tronsmart Presto uses a USB Type-A port to provide fast charging using Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology to any of the many phones that support Qualcomm Quick Charge.

The Tronsmart Presto box contains a USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable that can be used to either charge the Presto from a separate USB Type-A power adapter or charge a phone with USB Type-C from the USB Type-A port of the Presto.

The Tronsmart Presto has two USB ports.  The USB Type-A port is used for charging phones and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

The USB Type-C port is used to charge the Tronsmart Presto or charge other phones that support 15 watts of charging (5 volts @ 3 amps) that is supported just by using USB Type-C.  Note this USB Type-C port doesn't support Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 or USB Power Delivery.

When charging the Tronsmart Presto using the same USB Type-C port, you can use a 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps) charger.

When using Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology, the USB Type-A port provides the following charging capabilities: 5-6.5 volts @ 3 amps, 6.5-9 volts @ 2 amps, 9-12 volts @ 1.5 amps, thus providing a max of 19.5 watts (6.5 volts @ 3 amps).

On the side of the Tronsmart Presto, there is a power button.  If you press the power button, you can see how much charge is left through the 4 LED's on the front.  You will also need to press the power button if you want to start charging a phone connected to the Type-A port of the Tronsmart Presto.

If you charge the Tronsmart Presto using its USB Type-C port, one of LED's will start blinking to show what charge level is being achieved.  Make sure you don't charge the Tronsmart Presto while using the Tronsmart Presto to charge another phone or else the Presto will stop charging the phone.

We charged the Tronsmart Presto with the Google Universal Type-C Charger 60W while the Presto was roughly 75% charged and observed that it pulled 5 volts @ 2.8 amps.

We then observed that the Tronsmart Presto pulls about 5 volts @ 2.7 amps from the 15 watts USB Type-C charger that comes with the LG Google Nexus 5X.
