Transferring files over Wi-Fi Direct within the Samsung device family is an easy seamless process.

First you need to set up the Wi-Fi Direct connections.  Here we first connect the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge with the Samsung Galaxy S5.

We then have the Samsung Note II initiate a request to Wi-Fi Direct connect to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and accept this request on the Galaxy S6 Edge.

Now all 3 Samsung devices are connected to each other over Wi-Fi Direct.

From here, it's easy to send files simultaneously from one device to the other 2 devices over Wi-Fi Direct.'

Overall Samsung has done a good job at implementing Wi-Fi Direct to share files between other Samsung devices.  However, if you are trying to share files between a Samsung device and a non-Samsung device, most likely you will run into problems.
