The Vizio M-Series 4K Ultra HD Smart TV doesn't support HDR but you can still use it to watch 4K Blu-ray content from the Xbox One S. This is a lot better than our experience using the Vizio M-Series 4K Ultra HD Smart TV where it didn't work at all the with the Samsung UBD-K8500 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Player over HDMI 2.0 as per this earlier review.
Even when we use the same HDMI cable from the earlier review, this time the Xbox One S was able to display properly on the Vizio M-Series 4K Ultra HD Smart TV without any issues.
The Xbox confirmed 4K was supported by the Vizio M-Series 4K Ultra HD Smart TV but certain resolution frequencies were not supported (also HDR was not supported as expected).
We could also confirm on the TV itself that 4K resolution was being used.
The Xbox One S works great with the Vizio M-Series 4K Ultra HD Smart TV if all you need is 4K resolution and don't care as much about HDR support.
