The GoPro Supercharger (click here for Amazon pricing) and Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) both support charging over USB Power Delivery so let's see how well they work when connected together with the Mac's battery being well charged.

Looking at the USB Power Delivery negotiations between the GoPro Supercharger and Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016), the charger advertises its source capabilities of 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 16.5 watts (5.5 volts @ 3 amps), and 20 watts (12 volts @ 1.67 amps). The Mac then requests to draw 20 watts (12 volts @ 1.67 amps) from the charger which it accepts.

While the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) is being charged on an already well charged battery, oddly we see that the charger initially delivers about 15 volts, stops delivering power, and then delivers 12 volts with the current taking a little time before the current pull rises to 1.7 amps.
