The OWC Type-C Dock was designed to be used with the Apple MacBook but since it uses the standard USB Type-C connector, you can also try to use it with other computers like the HP Chromebook 13 G1.
Using software from Granite River Labs, we can confirm that the OWC Type-C Dock initially offers 5 volts @ 2 amps, 12 volts @ 3 amps, and 20 volts @ 3 amps power profiles to the HP Chromebook 13 G1.
The HP Chromebook 13 G1 initially requests 5 volts @ 2 amps from the OWC Type-C Dock.
The HP Chromebook 13 G1 later successfully requests 20 volts @ 2.25 amps (45 watts) from the OWC Type-C Dock.
The OWC Type-C Dock is able to provide 45 watts of power to HP Chromebook 13 G1 through USB Power Delivery technology letting you charge the Chromebook while accessing the docks other functions.
