From a previous review, we have seen that the Moto G4 Plus can screen cast to the Sony Bravia Android 4K TV using the Miracast-based wireless technology. But with the Samsung K4300 Joy Smart TV, the Moto G4 Plus fails to connect.

Here we try to set up the Moto G4 Plus with the Samsung K4300 Joy Smart TV. First we go to Settings -> Display -> Cast.

From there, the Moto G4 Plus will start to locate any available Miracast-supported display nearby. As such, it should detect the Samsung 4 Series (32) but it could not find any devices.

To investigate further, we try using the 'Wi-Fi Direct' option on the phone. From Settings, select Wi-Fi, and then tap on the three vertical dots on the upper left to select Advance -> Wi-Fi Direct.

From there we are able to see the Samsung K4300 Joy Smart TV, and so we select the Samsung 4 Series(32) to initiate the connection process.

On the Moto G4 Plus, we receive an 'Invitation to connect' with the Samsung K4300 Joy Smart TV, while the TV shows that it is 'Connecting to Moto G4 Plus'.

Strangely enough, the Moto G4 Plus shows that it is connected, but nothing is displayed on the Samsung K4300 Joy Smart TV. This confirms that screen mirroring cannot be enabled between the two devices.
