The Google Universal Type-C Charger 60W was originally released with the Google Chromebook Pixel (2015) but you can use it for many other devices supporting USB Power Delivery like the Apple MacBook (Early 2016). Let's see how well these devices work together.
Using software from Granite River Labs, we see that the Google Universal Type-C Charger 60W declares it can support 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 36 watts (12 volts @ 3 amps), and 60 watts (20 volts @ 3 amps) power profiles.
The Apple MacBook (Early 2016) then request 20 volts @ 1.5 amps (30 watts) from the Google Universal Type-C Charger 60W.
Apple and Google were very active in developing the earliest USB Power Delivery enabled products so it's not surprising to see the Apple MacBook (Early 2016) work well with the Google Universal Type-C Charger 60W.
