An earlier review showed that Dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger was compatible with non-USB Power Delivery enabled devices such as the OnePlus 3. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case for the Moto G4 Plus when used with Dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger.

The Moto G4 Plus supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 which is a different charging technology than USB Power Delivery.

Let's see what happens when we use the dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger into the Moto G4 Plus.

Here we observed that the Moto G4 Plus only drew 0.2 watts (5 volts @ 0.04 amps) from the  Dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger when the phone was 53% charged. 

We also checked to see how long it would take to charge the phone from 5%. 

  

Our fears were confirmed where after 35 minutes it had only charged 13%. 

 

Nonetheless, we decided to continue the test to see just how long it would take. 

  

After five and half hours of charging and a battery that was still only 83% charged, we decided to call it quits, as the results thus far showed how poorly these two devices worked with each other. The dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger charges the Moto G4 Plus at an abysmal rate. While we've seen the dodocool 30W USB Type-C PD Charger work well charging other devices, and the Moto G4 Plus charge at faster rates with other chargers, they just don't seem to want to play nice with each other.
