Initially, the dodocool USB C 30W charger worked to charge my new MacBook Pro, making it an ideal travel charger (it's much smaller than the charger Apple ships with the MacBook Pro). However, shortly after I started using it, it stopped being able to charge the MacBook: after plugging it into the MacBook, it acts as though the charger is being switched on and off; the MacBook recognizes that a charger is attached, and then acts like it has been unplugged (repeat ad nauseam). It seems like the charger and the MacBook are having difficulty negotiating with one another somehow. I cannot recommend this product if you would like to use it with a MacBook.
