Plugging in the NewerTech NuPower 60W USB-C Power Adapter to the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016), we will observe how well the MacBook charges using USB Power Delivery on a well charged battery.

We can see from the USB Power Delivery negotiations between the NewerTech NuPower 60W USB-C Power Adapter and the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) that the charger declares its source capabilities of 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps), 27 watts (9 volts @ 3 amps), 45 watts (15 volts @ 3 amps), and 60 watts (20 volts @ 3 amps).

For some reason, the NewerTech NuPower 60W USB-C Power Adapter keeps rejecting multiple attempted requests by the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016) to pull 60 watts (20 volts @ 3 amps) and the Mac is never able to charge.

We can also see there is never a stable voltage and current being provided by the NewerTech NuPower 60W USB-C Power Adapter to the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016).

Unlike in a previous review where the NewerTech NuPower 60W USB-C Power Adapter was observed to charge well with the Touch Bar Version of the Apple 13" MacBook Pro (Late 2016), this time the charger is unable to achieve a successful USB Power Delivery protocol negotiation with the Apple 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2016).
