We had purchased Witcher 3: Wild Hunt using the Online Game Code version from Amazon to try out with the Razer Blade Stealth and Razer Core but after the purchase there wasn't much guidance what to do next.

Eventually, we found our way to gog.com/redeem where we could input the code and download the software.

After sharing the redeem code on GOG, we were brought to a page where we could download the game in parts which wasn't exactly convenient.

To make it easier to download the game, we then downloaded and installed GOG Galaxy.

Once GOG finished installing and updating, we had to create a new GOG account to use to log in.

After logging in, we could see the game that we redeemed in the Library screen.  From here we could just click 'INSTALL'.

It took almost 14 hours to fully download the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt over a very high speed Internet connection- clearly this is something best done overnight.

After this very long and cumbersome process, we could finally start playing the game.

It's hard to find PC games anymore stocked on shelves and most laptop PC's have also gone away with optical drives.  Downloading and installing games from the cloud is here to stay but the overall user experience could be a lot easiest especially when you compare that to just sticking in a game into the Xbox One S.
