The demo of the new Hover Camera Passport was popular among visitors at CES 2017. The premium quadcopter by Zero Zero Robotics is controlled using a supported smartphone or tablet at a range of up to 20 meters. This is however not very impressive with other camera drones supporting an average of 100 meters. The control device will require the Hover Camera mobile app and runs on minimum Android 4.4/iOS 8.0 to operate the Hover Camera Passport over WiFi.

The 0.24 kg quadcopter features face and body tracking while on the move as well as 360 degrees 4K video capture. Its foldable carbon fiber frame allows it to be retrieved at mid-air. The camera which measures at 182 x 132 x 33 mm is able to fly at maximum 8 m/s (17 mph) and hover for up to 10 minutes in a no wind environment. It works fine within 5 to 35°C (41°F to 95°F) ambient temperature.

Its 13-megapixel built-in camera offers up to 4K MP4 video recording and 4208×3120 JPEG image capture. With a built-in 1/3.06 inch (CMOS) sensor, the camera sports an FOV 78.4° f/2.0 lens and provides 32G file storage. It is supplied with a 1360 mAh LiPo 2S battery and a 36 W charger.
