The Xiaomi VR Headset is an inexpensive VR machine that can be connected and used from compatible smartphones. It requires the smartphone to have a 4.7 inch to 5.7 inch screen to fit into the casing. Having fulfilled that, we will see if the newly launched Moto Z-Droid can work fine with the headset.

Setting up is very easy which only requires the phone to have the Xiaomi VR App in order to connect with the headset. Before that, you will need to download the QR Scanner App which scans the QR code given in the VR Headset's documentation. Just tap the VR symbol to start downloading the Xiaomi VR App.

You will find the Xiaomi VR App entirely in Chinese. If you are using the headset outside of China, you can also download the Google Cardboard App as well as other VR apps like the ARTE360 VR, Cardboard Camera, End Space VR, Full Dive VR and Hard Code.

On the Xiaomi VR App, you can view the many videos that have been pre-stored in the App.

Tap on the blue button at the bottom to split the screen and view the video in Virtual Reality mode.

You will receive an initial reminder to insert the phone into the headset. When inserted, you can start experiencing the phone's split screen feature for each eye.

You will also be provided with a fitted handy strap that can be used to hold the Xiaomi VR Headset in place.

It is terrific that the Moto Z-Droid can be supported by the Xiaomi VR Headset hassle-free, making it a great add-on to the high-end phone.
