A New Classroom Experience with the Acer R751T Chromebook Spin 11

The recent unveiling of a new education notebook by Acer sees the industry giant join forces with Google to tap into the education market. The new R751T Chromebook Spin 11 as announced which supports USB Type-C aims to promote modern learning in schools. Running on the Chrome platform and Intel Celeron N3450/N3350 processor, it comes with 4GB/8GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB/64GB onboard eMMC storage.

On top of its two USB Type-C ports, the R751T Chromebook Spin 11 also provides two Type-A USB 3.0 ports and a MicroSD card reader, while supporting 2X2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2. The USB Type-C ports support USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5 Gb/s link speeds), DisplayPort 1.2, and USB Power Delivery based charging.

The 1.4kg notebook with a 296 (W) x 206 (D) x 20.5 (H) mm form factor comes bundled with a Wacom EMR stylus for controlling its 11.6” HD IPS display. The screen also offers touch sensitivity with Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The 360° dual-torque hinge foldable design of the laptop allows it to be used in four modes: tent, tablet, display, and notebook, while maintaining a stable touch capability.

Additionally, the notebook also features dual Acer HD wide view HDR webcams, with one 1MP camera above the display and another 5MP camera above the keyboard. It is equipped with a battery that can last up to 10 hours.

Designed for use in a classroom environment, the R751T Chromebook Spin 11 claims to be rough resistant in compliance to the U.S. MIL-STD 810G  standard.
